Since entering its year-long partnership with Brake, Creatif has raised over £2,000 for the UK’s leading road safety charity. The last task that the team took on was Velocity 2, Europe's fastest zip line. This time around though, the pace will definitely be a lot slower as Chris Boothroyd is taking to the streets of London along with thousands of other runners to take part in the ASICS London 10k. Some say that Chris has drawn the short straw, what with others flying over a quarry in North Wales and others abseiling down one of Manchester’s most famous sporting landmarks. But Chris isn’t seeing it that way. “To the bemusement of others, I’m actually looking forward to it!,” he said. “I’ve been training for this going out on runs after work and on weekends and I’m feeling confident I can complete the course in a respectable time.” Whether or not he manages it on the day, though, is another thing entirely…. The route will see Chris wind (or walk…?) past some of London’s most well-known landmarks, such as Trafalgar Square and the Houses of Parliament. So at the very least, Chris will have a nice trip around the capital, see the sights and raise money for an excellent cause. The run is on 21st July and if you’d like to cheer Chris on, you’re more than welcome to line the streets of London and do so. Keep an eye out – with his bright yellow vest we don’t think you’ll be able to miss him! If you’d like to sponsor and contribute to Creatif’s partnership with Brake, you can do so via our Just Giving page, email christopher.b@creatif.org or by speaking to a member of the Creatif team.
